Why Web Accessibility is Important?

The people have difficulties at the time of acceding to the Web due to the multiple barriers that are, as much in the own page Web like in the applications that use: navigators, devices multimedia, readers of voice screen, etc...
These barriers cause that the users cannot have access to the present information in Internet.
Some present barriers habitually are:

  • Images without alternative text.
  • Incorrect use of the elements that form the semantic skeleton of a page.
  • Absence of alternatives for navigators who do not support scripts, or applet.
  • Tables to make the content that not interpret correctly when reading them of lineal form.
